A few snacks are lurking out there, giving you the impression that they are healthy. They are probably the ones you will reach for when you have that sudden pang of hunger at 4 PM on a Tuesday. However, these are the ones you should avoid.
Dairy-Free Ice Cream Tubs
You made your way to the supermarket, and as you passed the ice cream section, you remembered what you would need to make that midnight movie perfect, and it was that ice cream tub. However, you do not wish to put on weight as you binge, and that’s why you pick the dairy-free ice cream tub.
You must know that it is packed with sugar, and is not going to do you any good. So, forget about it.
Vegan Protein Bars
They may be non-GMO, gluten-free and vegan-friendly, but what these bars do is that they use puffed soy nuggets as their protein source, the worst kind of protein ever. Choose to treat yourself to a handful of nuts instead.
Granola Bars
They boast of healthy oats, nuts and fruits, but they are not as healthy as they seem. A lot of them pad it up with lots of ingredients that you would find in many other bars, that work in the same way as your regular candy. Instead of reaching for the granola bar, choose to reach in your bag for a box of nuts that you packed before leaving home.
