Pediatric Migraines

A 6-year-old boy pseudotumor cerebri for treatment for migraine headaches was brought to my clinic.

Symptom

• Headaches hurt on his forehead, vertex and slightly posterior of vertex, and temples.
• Feels like someone is squeezing the head and it’s going to crack
• 3.5 years ago is when he got the first headache, since then it’s monthly in frequency
• Since Feb 2019 his frequency increased to every 2 weeks and now weekly
• Nausea accompanies the headache
• Headache was better with applying pressure and worse from mental exertion (long day at school)
• Lack of appetite
• Most striking was after vomiting headache instantly better

Prescribed: Digitalis 30c – 3 pellets/day.

October 2019

• Slight aggravation after starting remedy with a couple of headaches, after that 3-week headache-free

Continue Remedy

November 2019

• 2 minor headaches in the past 1 month
• Continue Remedy

December 2019

No headaches

Instructed the mother to come back if headaches return.
