In fact experts are suggesting, that sitting could be the new smoking. It is important that one takes whatever measures they can to include some amount of physical activity in to their lives.
We’ve outlined a lifestyle at work that you can deploy to help you improve your health while are work:
Aim to move
If you wish to drink some coffee, and have a snack, walk to the kitchen or to the pantry and get yourself a coffee. If you wish for some snacks, make a second trip.
Dress Comfortably
While looking good at work is important, traditional office wear may not allow you to move too much. Dress comfortably so that you can move more and stay fit. Find a balance so that you do not break the dress code and stay comfortable as well.
Get some gear
Get the right gear with you. An exercise ball, a yoga mat or anything else that you could use may help during your fitness breaks.
Remind yourself
Remind yourself that you need to move. This way if you get too caught up when you are working you can be reminded to get up and move.
Find motivation
Everyone around you will be working and may not be enthused by the idea of adding additional movements to their day. Find motivation by interesting quotes, add some to your board or your computer screen so that you can help stay in the groove.
