It’s taught to us by our families. It’s taught to us by our teachers at school, and it’s a value that goes deeper than you think. We are talking that feeling of gratitude. You may consider it simple polite behavior, but it has a deeper impact on how we look at the world and how we end up feeling.
Expressing and feeling gratitude tends to make people more jouyous, optimistic and enthusiastic. Feeling gratitude lowers the level of cortisol and increases positive emotions in people, thereby reducing depression and anxiety in people.
