Our eyes are quite exceptional. They allow us to see the beautiful world that we live in. On a daily basis they are constantly exposed to multiple stimulations, as yet they continue to work well.

If you notice, the stimulation the eyes were exposed to ten years ago, and now is very different. We are now living in the digital age, and our eyes are constantly exposed to digital screens that cause a great deal of stress on our eyes. One of the primary stress to the eye is blue light.

The length of the wavelengths defines visible Light and how much energy they produce. When the wavelength is longer, less energy is created, which means its safer, the other way around, it could be potentially dangerous.

Here’s are a few things that you can do to protect your eyes!

Eat food that is good for your eyes!
Foods that you should include in your diet to keep your eyes healthy include leafy green vegetables, orange-coloured fruits, vegetables, healthy fats like coconut oil, nuts, seeds, avocado and other foods that are rich in omega three fatty acids.

Change computer and phone habits
How much time do you usually spend in front of your computer or browsing through things on your mobile phone? A lot we are sure. You need to change your digital consumption habits. Take a break, look away from your computer every 15 minutes for about 2-3 minutes. Blue light blocker glasses can also help protect your eyes from harmful radiation. Avoid spending any time in front of a screen at least 2 or 3 hours before you sleep.

Change your lifestyle
Small things, changes can help a lot. Wear sunglasses, stop smoking hydrate your eyes and spend less time in front of the screen. You will note that it will make a world of a difference to your eye health.
