Panic attacks, stress and anxiety can get the better of you and make even the smallest of situations seem like large mountains. Not just that, stress can affect your health in harmful ways leaving you with no energy.

Be Aware
When you are put in a stressful situation, you can tend to get lost, you lose focus and have no idea of what is happening around you and how you should react. When faced with a stressful situation, try and be more aware, instead of reacting, try and respond to the situation that has presented itself in front of you. All you have to do is change your attitude, you have to be in the moment, and this simple shift can help you overcome the anxiety that is taking over your life.

Breathe
Breathing correctly and concentrating on your breathing can indeed change your life. When you get anxious, your breath is short and shallow, which leads to increasing your heartbeat and you feel panicky. When you feel like you are on the verge of having a panic attack, place your hands on your belly, place your feet flat on the floor, close your eyes, simply relax your shoulder and take a deep breath. When you do so, you feel your hands rise and fall, you will start feeling relaxed! Take at least ten deep breaths and you will see positive signs.

Do this everytime, and soon, anxiety will become a thing of the past, and you will become another person altogether, one who is calm, composed and pulled together.

Eat Right!
You might think it is silly to correlate your anxiety to the things that you are eating, but its true. What you eat can have an impact on how you feel and how you behave. When you are anxious, try and stay away from foods like gluten, soft drink, sugar, coffee and all kinds of processed junk foods. Try and include foods like root vegetables and green leafy vegetables in your diet and see the difference.

Tune your mind, and indeed anything is possible. It’s all in your head, how you react is in your hands.
